Before using Flonase

Before using this medicine one should make sure that he/she does not have allergic reactions to the components. In case a patient has previously experienced allergic reactions to Flonase, the medicine should not be applied.
If a patient is taking ritonavir (Norvir, Kaletra) the use of Flonase is contraindicated.
Before using this drug for the first time, consult your doctor. Discuss with your doctor the possibility of Flonase use if you have any of the following:
•    glaucoma or cataracts;
•    kidney or liver disease;
•    herpes simplex virus in the eye;
•    pregnancy;
•    tuberculosis;
•    any infectious disease caused by bacteria;
•    sores or ulcers inside the nose;
•    a history of injury of the nose or surgery on the nose.
Diabetics should discuss the use of Flonase with a doctor because the medicine may increase blood sugar level.
